1. The reason I selected Late Gothic Art and Architecture and the Black death videos are because they sounded interesting plus I like architecture.
2. In the more human than human video I learned that throughout history whenever the human body is created by an artist in a sculpture it is usually created superficially, the human form is usually created to look perfect. In the Gothic Architecture video I learned about the change of styles of architecture from the middle ages to the Renaissance. I also learned about the different types of art that England produced during that period of time like jewelry, sculptures, manuscripts, and structures. In the Black death video I learned about the two cities of Siena and Florence and how the bubonic plague literally destroyed the life and culture of those cities.
3. The videos related rather well to the reading from the book. Watching the videos added depth to the reading especially with the architecture video and the black death video. It gave you an idea of what really happened to people during the bubonic plague era.
4. I thought the films were very informative but they were also very long and dry at sometimes. Like I said before they added depth to the texts by giving you a sense of what people had to endure during the middle ages and how hard it was for a person to exist.
