Logo design

1.  I thought it was rather fun to create my own logo. I decided to go with something that I love and that was football more specifically the bills, so I decided to create another logo for them.

2.  Well I wanted to make the logo something that mattered to me and that is why I decided to create a new logo for the Buffalo Bills. My little brother has a shirt with a similar looking imagine so I used that and made the buffalo look meaner.

3.  The most important thing that I discovered while doing this project was that I have some artistic ability.

4. I think the most interesting thing was learning about the Scottish 3-D company and how they are right on the cutting edge of 3-D technology. I thought the videos were a little bit boring but for the most part they were more interesting than most of the other videos we have watched.

Module 4

1. While I was creating the Value Scale and Color Wheel I thought about 2nd grade art class when I first made these items.

2. I really didn't enjoy either one because like I said before I had already done this and knew what it was.

3. The most important discovery I believe was the color wheel because you are able to make multiple colors from 3 primary colors.

4. The most important information that I learned was starting the color wheel off with Cyan, Magenta and yellow instead of blue yellow and red. I thought the videos were helpful with showing how to use a circle motion for drawing the gray scale.

Art Project

For this project I followed the Elements of Design and the Principles of Design. For this project I took some time visiting landmarks and neighboring areas around my house for some pictures. I wanted to give my project a real life feel so that is why my slide show has an outdoor theme and contains many different outside venues. I actually had fun with this project, I really enjoyed capturing some shots. I'm not usually the photographer type but this was a pretty fun assignment.

1. There have been many studeies that have demonstrated that color affects a wide variety of psychological and physiological responses. The color red is believed to increase appetite. Blue surroundings will significantly lower a person's blood pressure, pulse and respiration.

2. The theoretical aspect of color that most intrigues me is the color blue. The reason blue fascinates me is because it can lower a person's blood pressure, pulse and breathing. The more I think about the color blue and the places that have blue in them such as doctor's offices I realize that blue really does have a calming effect. I think that is why doctor's scrubs are blue as well, they want to make sure you are calm before you have surgery.

3. In the color video, June was back in London trying to paint what she saw in Venice, and she had used alot of dark reds and oranges for the building on the left with the man outside of it on the boat. When this was first shown  I felt like the left side of the painting was in some sort of trouble. I didn't like it, I almost felt worried for the man on the boat in the painting. Right after that was shown, June herself said the exact same thing as what I was thinking.

4. In the feelings video, Goya's paintings jumped out at me the most. The paintings from when he was in his mid 40s and later were extremely dark. The people in the paintings looked like they were either zombies or were in some sort of hell. The people were trying to get to freedom but by the colors Goya used you were able to tell that they were trapped forever. His paintings just seemed very dark and filled with misery.
